About Browne & Miller Literary Associates
Browne & Miller Literary Associates (formally Multimedia Product Development, Inc.), is a full-service, independent literary agency founded in 1971 by the late Jane Jordan Browne and located in Chicago , Illinois . Danielle Egan-Miller is president of the firm.
Browne & Miller Literary currently represents authors writing in most genres of commercial adult fiction and non-fiction, as well as select young adult projects. We are a hands-on, editorially-focused agency and work closely with our clients in developing manuscripts and proposals for submission. In addition, we actively manage subsidiary rights for the projects we represent including foreign translation, audio, and film/television rights.
We have a very full clientele, so are very particular about the new projects we pursue. At present, we are most interested in commercial women's fiction, especially elegantly crafted, sweeping historicals, edgy, fresh teen/chick/mom/lady lit, and CBA women's fiction by established authors. We are also very keen on literary historical mysteries and literary YA novels. Topical, timely non-fiction projects in a variety of subject areas are also of interest especially prescriptive how-to, self-help, sports, humor, and pop culture. We do not represent children's picture books, horror or sci-fi novels, short stories, poetry, original screenplays, articles or software.
